When BetaOne Gym approached us to design the official t-shirt for their annual Best Out West competition, we were beyond stoked. It’s always an honour to contribute to the climbing community, and even more so when the brief is as open and creative as “make it fun, engaging, and aligned with our main sponsor, New Balance Energy.”
With a core audience of 15–29 year olds, we wanted to create something that felt energetic and youthful, while still capturing the raw, unfiltered chaos of a climbing comp: the sends, the falls, and the full-commit punts.
We also wanted to reflect BetaOne’s electric vibe by leaning into their signature palette of bright, buzzing blues.
The result? A bold and expressive design that channels the pulse of competition day, where every moment is a mix of adrenaline and grit. From warm-ups to finals, the shirt captured it all.
Seeing the crowd wear our shirts throughout the day laughing, climbing, and vibing with the comp atmosphere was the best part of all! Huge thanks to BetaOne and New Balance Energy for trusting us with the vision!
